HJCL’s inaugural quiz evening – Let’s Get Quizzical
Tuesday, July 15, 2014
On Thursday 10th July, HJCL was delighted to host its inaugural quiz evening in the Station Master’s Office at the Parcel Yard, Kings Cross Station, London.
The theme of the evening was health. What else would you expect from a health consultancy and when all the teams competing work in the healthcare sector?! Five teams competed in six hotly-contested rounds: spelling, politics and current affairs, body geography, general knowledge, history, and ‘name that disease’ plus the famous picture round. There were a further five bonus points on offer for winning the challenge of the board game Operation. Could a member of each team remove all the body parts, without setting off the buzzer?
Helen Johnson, Managing Director of HJCL, said: “I was delighted to host our first ever quiz night, ‘Let’s Get Quizzical’. It was absolute bedlam and I couldn’t believe how competitive everyone was! But it did allow people from across the sector to meet informally to network and have a fun-filled night. From all the noise and excitement everyone appeared to enjoy themselves”.
Mark Spencer, one of the participants, said “What a fantastic evening, I had a great time and could see that everyone else did too. The event was well organised, the venue was fantastic and the company was great. I met some old friends and made a number of new ones. Looking forward to the next one!”.
After several recounts and many disputes the winners were the ‘This is not a drill, please evacuate the pub’ team from Cancer Research UK, aided and abetted by Emily from HJCL.
